Melania Trump presents her voice-enhanced audiobook: "My Story, My Truth"

US First Lady Melania Trump released an audiobook on Thursday narrated by an artificial intelligence (AI) voice that replicates her own.

President Donald Trump's 55-year-old wife announced the release of the seven-hour recording, which sells for $25, in a social media post on Thursday.

"My story, my perspective, the truth," narrates a voice with the distinctive accent of the Slovenian-born former model, over a short black and white video.

It is unclear whether it is Melania herself speaking in the video or her AI doppelganger.

In the same post she writes: "I am honored to bring you Melania, the AI ​​audiobook, narrated entirely using artificial intelligence in my own voice ."

"Let the future of publishing begin," he added.

The "AI-generated replica" of Melania Trump's voice was "created under the direction and supervision of Ms. Trump," the audiobook's website reads.

"Multiple" foreign language versions will be available later this year, he added.

Melania Trump released physical copies of her memoir in October, with a signed collector's edition printed on "premium art paper" priced at $150.

The release of the AI-narrated audiobook comes just days after the first lady joined President Trump in signing a bill making it a federal crime to publish "revenge porn," whether real or AI-generated.

Melania Trump had campaigned for this law in March in her first solo event since her husband returned to power in January.

He then condemned "malicious online content, such as deepfakes " or ultra-fake videos.

The first lady has been elusive at the White House since her husband was sworn in on January 20. She has spent little time in Washington with her billionaire husband.
